“My husband and I met Amy, serendipitously at the end of our search for a suitable wedding venue in Franschoek. One of the reasons why we chose Anura Wine Estate, was because of the beautiful decor that Amy had set up, in preparation for a wedding later that day. It was a stroke of luck to meet Amy at our ‘wedding venue to be’ and also to see her capability and style, in the very space that we would be using for our reception.
Amy was a pleasure to deal with from the start: organized, knowledgeable, helpful, creative, connected, adaptable and funny.We thoroughly enjoyed working with her to create our perfectly special day and she was a blessing, as she made the whole process easy, exciting and stress-free!
Every detail was taken care of, every vendor was organized and briefed and the relevant meetings were set up well in advance and this was much appreciated, given our hectic work schedules and frequent travel.
Such a special day and event, is never without a last minute challenge or hitch and our’s was no different. But with Amy in control, minor adjustments were made and everything ran perfectly on the day. Our day was magical, intimate and everything we hoped for and we are so grateful to have had Amy part of our wonderful journey. “

“After proposing to my wife 14th February 2018 and us planning that our wedding would be on 30th November 2018, we decided that we would do our wedding planning together as we are both perfectionists and knew exactly what we wanted and have a hard time trusting other people with our visions. But as the year progressed, both her studies and my work were changing rapidly and became too challenging with the load of wedding planning as well. We needed to find a wedding planner in a short period of time, within budget, experienced in the field, who had all the contacts and suppliers at hand, with good time management and an eye for perfection. We also had to be able to hand over from where we were in our planning and decisions, i.e. the wedding planner we chose would have to take it from there and make it work.

As one can imagine, we were cautious and skeptical about this, but my wife suggested that we use the services of Amy Cottle’s Events. To our amazement, she jumped into planning without problems, solved issues that we had, had multiple meetings with us and the venue managers and arranged supplies for the event. Less than a month before the wedding, our photographer could no longer meet our requirements. Amy proceeded to provide us with alternative photographer’s contacts immediately. She always emphasized that her main goal is keeping the bride calm and happy! 😊 She stayed in contact with our venue (a hotel) and arranged everything that would be required for our big day, including the schedule for how the evening reception would unfold with perfect timing. She also kept our colour theme running throughout the interior, decorations and even our wedding cake. Staying in constant contact with us was probably the part of her work that stood out the most, as we always knew where we stood and wouldn’t have any surprises. The night before our wedding reception, she stayed up late to set up the event and made sure that everything worked perfectly. Going the extra mile like this while providing quality of service is something that most businesses and service providers fail to do, but is something my wife and myself always appreciate the most.

My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the service that we received. Our wedding reception was perfect, better than we had thought and our families were so impressed that they couldn’t stop talking about it for weeks after. Our photos were perfect thanks to a backdrop that Amy created for us, which she did because she wanted perfection, not because we asked. The price that she offered was well below what other service professionals requested, but Amy’s standard and service surpasses it by far. We recommend her services 100000%!
